Dr. Bartlett wanted to be a veterinarian as long as she could remember. Growing up on a horse farm in central Georgia, she was surrounded by animals all of the time. Dr. Bartlett has a strong interest in integrative medicine and has earned a certification in Veterinary Western Herbal medicine and is continuing on toward her graduate diploma. She eventually plans to expand that knowledge into other areas such as rehab and acupuncture. Dr. Bartlett also enjoys more traditional areas of medicine including internal medicine and preventive care.
Dr. Bartlett joins Bayview Animal Hospital from Islamorada, FL where she practiced medicine since 2006. A former U.S. Army helicopter mechanic, Dr. Bartlett holds dual bachelor’s degrees in English and Biology and dual master’s degrees in education technology and aviation safety. She received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Auburn University. Dr. Bartlett is also a regular contributor to the newsletter of the Kansas City Veterinary Medical Association.
When Dr. Samantha Bartlett isn’t treating her patients, she can be found on a paddleboard, in her herb garden or going on walks with her standard poodle, George. She also has three cats, Amelia, Izzy and Clarence.
I look forward to becoming a collaborative partner with my patient’s owners so together we can provide the best care for their fur babies’ best lives.
